Racialized Staff & Faculty Caucus

Mission & Vision

Our Vision

At the heart of this caucus is a simple but powerful intention: to create a space where faculty and staff from this community can just be. The caucus is envisioned as a supportive environment that allows members to exhale, reflect, connect, or simply sit in quiet community. This space is grounded in care, trust, and psychological safety. It recognizes that belonging often begins with being seen and accepted as we are. Additionally, it aims to foster a university environment where racialized staff and faculty feel valued, supported, empowered, and included as vital contributors to institutional excellence, equity, and transformation.

Our Mission

The Racialized Staff and Faculty Caucus provides a platform for connection, collective advocacy, and professional and personal development. The caucus aims to amplify racialized voices, challenge structural inequities, and contribute meaningfully to institutional change by centering the lived experiences of racialized colleagues.
